Te Whare Hēra Artist Residency is a programme that supports artists to research, develop and produce new and innovative contemporary projects in Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington, and to make a visible difference to the cultural lives of our local community. This artist-residency space is made possible through partnership between Wellington City Council and Massey University.
Our programme primarily welcomes international artists to reside and conduct art-making and research here, however this exhibition opportunity allows for local emerging artists to benefit from the space and our capacity to showcase their work physically and through our online presence of both website and social media accounts.
The Te Whare Hēra studio / gallery space is situated centrally in Te Whanganui a Tara, between harbour and city in Wellington, at Clyde Quay Wharf, Te Aro.
